Fuzhou Invested 0.45 billion Yuan to Support Port Production Development in Three Years from Now
It has been learned from the Fuzhou Port Development Center of Fujian Province that Fuzhou City recently issued the "Fuzhou Port Production Development Support Policy (2026-2028)", which specifies an annual allocation of 150 million yuan in special funds over three years. The policy focuses on five major directions: enhancing port connectivity efficiency, promoting the aggregation of container cargo sources, expanding the port hinterland, consolidating and expanding the main channel to Taiwan, and creating a roll-on/roll-off car export channel, with 15 specific reward measures to comprehensively promote the construction of "Maritime Fuzhou" and the development of Fuzhou's port-based national logistics hub.
The support intensity of this round of policies is unprecedented, with the annual funding scale increased from 100 million yuan in the previous round to 150 million yuan, aiming to fully stimulate the vitality of the port and shipping market and strengthen the systematic support of the port logistics system. The policy highlights five key focus points.
Enhance port connectivity efficiency. Implement tiered rewards for consolidating, increasing, and adding new international container shipping routes, with new foreign trade container international routes being rewarded up to 8 million yuan for long-haul and 5 million yuan for short-haul routes.
Promote the aggregation of container cargo sources. Implement gradient rewards for container throughput, customized foreign trade container routes, and additional ship port calls and shipping company volumes.
Expand the port hinterland range. Increase support for sea-rail intermodal container transport, "inland ports" increments, river-sea intermodal centers, and Fuzhou metropolitan area water transport branches.
Consolidate and expand the main channel to Taiwan. Establish new rewards for increasing the frequency of existing Taiwan routes, continue rewards for new Taiwan routes, and continuously expand the shipping advantages to Taiwan.
Create a roll-on/roll-off car export channel. Add rewards for foreign trade roll-on/roll-off ship calls and integrated operation service rewards for roll-on/roll-off channel port stations, promoting the regular docking of roll-on/roll-off ships at Jiangyin Port Area, and accelerating the creation of a southeast export channel for commercial car roll-on/roll-off at Jiangyin Port Area.
The implementation of this round of policies will fully unleash the advantages of port resources, extend the hinterland radiation range, drive the agglomeration and growth of port-related industries, and promote the integration of port, industry, and city development, injecting continuous momentum into the high-quality development of Fuzhou Port.
Next, relevant departments will jointly formulate supporting implementation rules, clarify application requirements and fund management methods, promote the precise implementation of policies, benefit enterprises effectively, and further enhance the role of Fuzhou Port as a hub in regional economic development and opening up to the outside world.
