Forty-five orders for new-energy vessels were signed in a single ceremony.
On March 14, the 2026 "Inland River New Energy Ship High-Quality Development Symposium" was grandly held at Shandong Xinneng Shipbuilding. During the meeting, Xinneng Shipbuilding signed orders for three pure electric power ships and 10+32 various LNG power ships with Shandong Huihua Logistics Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., Shandong Dexin Xiangyun Shipping Co., Ltd., Zhongzhen Green Energy (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., Fujian Xinbai Logistics Co., Ltd., and provincial shipowner representative Tan Jiguang. The total order amount exceeded 247 million yuan, with intended orders exceeding 1 billion yuan.
Among them, Shandong Huihua Logistics signed an order for three 73-meter pure electric power new energy ships, Shandong Dexin Xiangyun signed an order for two 702TEU river-sea direct LNG power new energy ships, Shenzhen Zhongzhen Green Energy signed an order for 2+28 5000 deadweight ton LNG power deck transport ships, Fujian Xinbai Logistics signed an order for 3+2 73-meter LNG power new energy ships, and the provincial shipowner representative signed an order for three 73-meter LNG power new energy ships.
At the same time, Xinneng Shipbuilding also signed cooperation agreements with five domestic and foreign agents, including Conception FG, Ankola Shipyard Company Limited, Hainan Senneng International Trade Co., Ltd., Beijing Huaxia Chunlei Electromechanical Equipment Co., Ltd., and Nordray Marine Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., to jointly start deep cooperation in the field of new energy ships.
At the meeting, Xinneng Shipbuilding launched the 2026 new series ship type preview "Pure Electric Power Distribution and Transport Ship 2.0" and jointly released the "Ship Intelligent Cockpit" with China Shipbuilding Group 712 Institute, announcing that inland river shipping has officially entered the era of "intelligent" transformation.
The new ship type has undergone comprehensive and systematic optimization based on the first generation, with the R&D direction of "carrying more, running faster, using less, and looking better." The load capacity has increased by 1,095 tons, resistance has been reduced by up to 15.8%, and propulsion efficiency has increased by 4.68%. It is also equipped with CATL's latest marine three-electric system, providing various endurance solutions such as deck box power supply and cabin batteries (with reserved photovoltaic interfaces).
The intelligent cockpit and intelligent navigation system developed for the 2.0 ship provide this "green" ship with a brand new "brain." The core goal of this intelligent cockpit is direct and clear: "Make driving a ship as simple as driving a car, and make navigation safer through intelligence." The R&D team has completely reshaped the driving experience through four major measures: "equipment standardization, cabin modularization, space scenarization, and navigation intelligence."
This symposium provided an efficient exchange and cooperation platform for the inland river new energy ship industry, further consolidating the consensus on green development. Han Ming, Director of the Water Transport Department of the Shandong Provincial Department of Transportation, Yu Huaiming, General Manager of the Qingdao Branch of China Classification Society, Chen Peng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Jining Municipal Transportation Bureau, Xie Yanzhen, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Jining Municipal Transportation Bureau and Secretary and Director of the Municipal Port and Shipping Development Center, Chen Changsheng, Deputy Director of the Heze City Transportation Comprehensive Service Center, Wang Xuguang, Deputy Director of the Zaozhuang City Port and Airport Construction Development Center, and Wang Chongjing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Jining Energy Group attended the meeting. Zhang Lei, Deputy Secretary and Director of Jining Energy Group, presided over the meeting.
In his speech, Han Ming stated that Shandong Province attaches great importance to the green transformation of inland river shipping. In 2026, a special plan will be introduced to support the expansion of production capacity in the Jining new energy ship industry and to implement free passage for new energy ships on the Shandong section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal. As the core hinterland of inland river shipping, Jining, represented by Shandong Ronghui Group, is building a demonstration base integrating R&D design and intelligent manufacturing to provide the "Jining Solution" for the green transformation of inland river shipping. Currently, the new energy ship industry is facing dual opportunities of policy and market. The Provincial Department of Transportation will continue to improve the policy system, optimize the business environment, deepen government-enterprise collaboration, and fully escort the development of the new energy ship industry, jointly promoting the comprehensive leap of inland river shipping.
Chen Peng stated that in 2025, Jining successfully obtained approval as a port-type national logistics hub, and Jining Port became the first 100-million-ton port in the northern inland river, with annual revenue of the port and shipping industry exceeding 100 billion yuan, creating the province's first large-scale electric freight fleet and achieving the first overseas order for a pure electric inland river container ship made in China. 2026 is the year of leap for building the northern inland river shipping center. Jining City will take green ship manufacturing as the core support, aiming to build a pilot area for new energy ship transportation on the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, and construct a full-chain green shipping service system. It is hoped that the guests will use this symposium as an opportunity to promote more innovative ideas and cooperation results to land in Jining, jointly writing a new chapter of green, low-carbon, and collaborative win-win.
Wang Chongjing expressed gratitude to friends from all walks of life who have long supported Shandong Ronghui Group. He stated that Shandong Ronghui Group has a forward-looking layout in the new energy ship industry, adhering to the concept of "green intelligent shipbuilding, building green intelligent ships," providing customized services for ship types and power, promoting model and process innovation, achieving standardized and mass production, and opening green channels by leveraging integrated advantages. Currently, the annual production capacity reaches 240 cargo ships, with 100 ships launched in 2025, and products exported to five countries including Tanzania and Canada. In the future, Shandong Ronghui Group will continue to deeply cultivate full-chain services, deepen cooperation and win-win, jointly build a new green intelligent shipping ecosystem, and sail towards a better future together.
In the keynote speech session, Zhang Qiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Xinneng Shipbuilding, Wang Wei, Chairman of Dongfang Shengcheng Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., frontline captain Zhang Yuanfu, shipowner representative and General Manager of Shandong Huihua Logistics Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. Hao Dengshun, and Yu Huaiming, General Manager of the Qingdao Branch of China Classification Society, respectively expressed their insights from the aspects of industrial ecology, financial services, ship use experience, market cooperation, and construction specifications, conducting in-depth discussions on the operational effectiveness and economic benefits of inland river new energy ships.
Responsible persons from relevant units of the transportation systems of Shandong Province and various cities, relevant enterprises in the upstream and downstream of inland river shipping, strategic customer representatives, relevant financial institution leaders, and responsible persons from relevant departments and affiliated enterprises of Jining Energy Group attended the meeting.
